This is a waste of money if you have a large baby like mine. The bassinet only holds up to 15lbs and once baby outgrows bassinet you’ve now lost all the cool sounds, light, vibration. My baby outgrew the top portion at 2 1/2 months! I could have easily just got a smaller and cheaper one without all the bells in whistles.

Pro’s: Lot’s of space, cute, great for travel shade to avoid the light hitting their face, surprisingly comfy, easy to put together (and yes even back in the bag), LOVE the changing table, love the vibration, easy to tote around too.

Con’s: Easily outgrew bassinet, big for small places, wide for door ways (set it up where you’ll need it), not cheap, and you can’t remove the shade.

At first I was irritated that my husband wanted this pack and play when any other would do and we probably wouldn’t use it for more than a few months. SO WRONG! We’ve had it for over a year and we’re still using it.

Why this is a must have…

A little background: I had a c-section, my son was delivered early. I gained a ton of weight so after delivering the baby, my body had to readjust (hips, back, everything) since the weight was redistributed.

The bassinet addition made picking my son up easy – I didn’t have to bend over (I didn’t want to anyways to avoid ripping my stitches, and I was so sore that bending over was very uncomfortable). The changing table is elevated enough that I could change him standing up (I’m 5’3″) AND all the basics were within reach. Diaper stack held enough that we only had to refill once a day. The 2 little cubbies were used to hold his mittens, thermometer probe, powder & rash cream (in case we need it) and the part for the wipes were so small that we stored q-tips to clean his umbilical cord.

The vibrating function was AMAZING! It helped put our baby to sleep, the music was soothing. Batteries lasted long enough that it wasn’t annoying to have to change it. We used those 2 functions almost ALL the time to get him through his naps and bed time – I think we changed our batteries once a month.

Complaints:

The thing is hard to move. Our doorways are tight and the idea of pushing this from room to room just seemed ridiculous. Beyond doorways, we’d have to navigate it around our household furniture – just not practical. And collapsing it to move it was just cumbersome.

The wipes storage – it held at most like 15-20 wipes – which isn’t much when he’s going through 12 diapers a day. We had a box of wipes on the changing table since it’s pretty roomy.

The diaper holder kept coming off – the sticky on the velcro were useless. We bought industrial strength velcro and held it in place.

The canopy – once it’s on, it’s hard to reach your baby. It’s HUGE! and kinda annoying to get staying up.

Other Info:

It’s recommended that you stop using the basinet at 15lbs but depending on your baby’s skills – I’d suggest not using that once they can roll over. Not that they could roll off – but you never know.

Strongly recommend getting several sheets – when one is the wash, you don’t have to wait for it to put it on – especially if it’s right around nap time.

Very easy to clean – a wet towel, done. The mesh part takes a little bit longer.

My son still sleeps in his pack and play. He’s a little over a year old and has only slept in his crib once for a nap. (I know they don’t recommend this for sleeping), but it’s the only place he enjoys, and I feel safe leaving him. The mesh is breathable while in a crib, I’m worried he’ll get stuck in between the railings. It’s sturdy. It’s easy on the eyes.

Definitely worth the $$ we’ve paid. If we had to get a PNP now (at his age), I’d definitely get a plain one without the bells the whistles. But all those perks are a necessity with a newborn.

We purchased this bassinet and are getting a lot of use out of it. We have it set up on our first floor while our baby’s room is on the second floor which allows us to change her diaper without going upstairs and set her down while we do dishes, etc. Our baby loves the vibrating aspect of this product. We loved that it can serve many purposes, will be useful as she grows, looks cute, and had the potential to be portable (take to grandma’s house, vacation home, etc.).

Our problem with this product is that setting it up the first couple of times went fine but are now having problems to the point that we’re afraid that if we break it down we won’t be able to set it back up, defeating the purpose of it being portable. We may have a defective product and if I kept the box, I would try and exchange it for another.

When you set it up, the four side bars are folded in half, you take two parallel sides by the middle handles, lift up, hear it click and they lock in place. Then you do the same with the last two parallel sides. After breaking this product down and setting it up a couple of times, we are having difficulty getting the sides to lock and are finding ourselves wrestling with it, getting one side to lock, moving to the other side and watch it fall a part again. Frustrating to say the least. Again, it might just be a bit of a lemon but I’d save the box until you’ve set it up a half a dozen times. I generally keep a box until a product has shown to work the first time but regret that I didn’t keep it longer in this case.

I bought this to complete the coordination of other items I purchased for my son from this product series and I am very pleased with my choice. the quality is excellent and to my surprise very easy to put together. My only issue is the volume on the electronic mobile is very low even when turned up to the highest level is barely audible. I absolutely love the colors and the fabrics and it coordinates perfectly with my blue and brown theme for my son.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Even sleeker in person. This pack n play is so durable! My three year old wild man uses it as a fort (until the baby arrives next month) He weighs 30lbs and i have no concerns about him in it. I returned my EXPENSIVE eddie bauer pack n play and i am SO GLAD that I did. There is NO COMPARISON! Graco is by far the way to go. I now have graco everything. This is my second child and i have learned to just go with graco. You are always satisfied. (their customer service is amazing) ONLY FLAW is that there is nowhere to put the changing table and bassinet when traveling and that the shade dosn’t come off. It is attached to the bassinet (and mine is all crooked from shipping. Amazon is wonderful and so is the fab pack n play! BUY IT< NOW!
